Considered a master guide for fly fishing giant Tarpon, Rob was the first guide in history to win all four major Tarpon fly fishing tournaments in their 50-year history, including, the prestigious Gold Cup Tarpon Tournament, Outback Golden Fly, Don Hawley Invitational Tarpon Release Tournament, and the Women’s World Tarpon Fly Fishing Championship. While still in high school, at the age of 17, Rob won the prestigious “Met Master Angler” award, making him the youngest man decorated for this award in the tournaments 62 year history.

TELEVISION EXPERIENCE

Nominated in 2014, as one of the top 50 fishing captains in the world, Rob has competed and placed as a top three finisher, in more than 100 tournaments fished around the globe. Rob has also produced, hosted, or co-hosted more than 100 outdoor television episodes. 


 Rob guides an average of 300 days per year in a normal season and stars in “Silver Kings”, a TV series on Discovery Channel’s Destination America that chronicles the lives of captains Bou Bosso and Rob Fordyce during the tarpon season in Islamorada. Rob’s current television show “Sea Hunter” airs on the Outdoor channel
